Jamey Rootes

President

Jamey Rootes serves as the President of the Houston Texans and is responsible for all business functions of the club. Under Jamey’s leadership, the Texans have earned distinction and maintained a reputation as an industry leader in many areas, including service, fan experience, and innovation.

He was selected as Houston Business Journal’s Business Person of the Year in 2016 after serving as the Chairman of the Greater Houston Partnership, deputy chairman for two public boards for the Super Bowl Host Committee and elevating Houston’s visibility on an international scale.

A native of Stone Mountain, Ga., Jamey graduated Cum Laude from Clemson University’s Calhoun Honors College. Prior to entering sports, he held positions at IBM and Procter & Gamble. He enjoys running, playing golf and spending time with his wife, Melissa, and their children, Chris and Caroline.

Greg Grissom

Senior Vice President, Corporate Development

Greg Grissom was named senior vice president of corporate development in April 2017, but has been a part of the team’s business operations staff since its inaugural 2002 season. He joined the Texans as a corporate sales manager before being promoted to director of corporate development in 2006 and then senior director of corporate development in May 2011. He was named VP of corporate development in April 2012. Greg oversees the Texans’ corporate partnerships, sales of all related media properties, new suite sales, and partnership marketing services. Since 2012, the Texans franchise has seen landmark expansion from HoustonTexans.com to Texans Radio and Texans TV digital platforms, creating a wealth of new opportunities for sponsors and fans of the team. He has over two decades of experience in sports sponsorship sales, planning, execution and event marketing. A native of Austin, he attended Baylor University and now lives in Houston with his wife, Jamie, their daughter, Campbell, and son, Sam.

Brian Varnadoe

Senior Director, Texans Luxe Partnerships

Brian Varnadoe joined the Houston Texans in June 2002 and is currently the Senior Director of Texans Luxe Partnerships in which he oversees the suite and club service team while extending premium business into the future. Before joining the Texans, Brian earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas and worked as a general assignment reporter for KTEN television in Denison, TX. He also held a position with Equistar Petrochemicals in the customer service and logistics group. During his free time, Brian enjoys spending quality minutes with his wife Michelle and his two daughters Peyton and Mackenzie. If you don’t see him at the stadium, he is likely watching his daughters at a volleyball court around Houston.

Brian George

Senior Director, Texans Luxe Partnerships

Brian George rejoined the Texans in 2017 and is currently the Director of Texans Luxe Partnerships in which he oversees all aspects of the new suite sales process. Before rejoining the Texans, Brian began with the Texans in 2008 as a Corporate Development Representative and was promoted to Corporate Development Manager in 2011. From 2012-2017 he was the General Manager with Baylor IMG Sports Marketing and Nebraska IMG Sports Marketing. Brian holds a degree from the Sports, Sponsorship and Sales program at Baylor University. During his free time, Brian enjoys spending time with his family, golf, fishing, and hunting. He lives in Missouri City with his wife, Betsy; their daughter, Kinsley; and son, Weston.

Stephen Friedlander

Senior Business Development Manager, Texans Luxe

Stephen joined the Houston Texans in 2009 as a Seasonal Ticket Representative, then moved into a full-time role as an Account Executive selling suites in 2010. He enjoys interacting with clients in all different industries, and says there is no better feeling than seeing them on a game day utilizing the Texans suites to further build their businesses. In his free time, Stephen enjoys spending time with his wife and son, golfing, watching football and eating his way through Houston.

Emile Maffei

Senior Business Development Manager, Texans Luxe

Emile joined the Houston Texans Luxe team in June of 2020 as Senior Business Development Manager. His career in sports began 5 years ago as a sales account executive for the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans. He was quickly promoted to Premium Sales Manager after his 1st season for both teams. Emile’s hometown is New Orleans and he has attended LSU and the University of New Orleans. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife, Kayla, and his daughter, McKenzie. His other hobbies include playing football, basketball, and golf, as well as learning history, traveling, sporting events, and exploring his new city of Houston.

Josh Randall

Business Development Manager, Texans Luxe

Josh Randall joined the Houston Texans suite sales team in 2015 and has proven to be a vital part of the team since coming on board. His career in sports began in 2008 as a communications intern with the Texans, and in 2009 he landed a sales executive position with the Houston Rockets and Toyota Center. His experience selling for two major sports teams in the Houston market and his ability to build meaningful relationships with fans, companies, and business leaders have all aided in his success. During his free time, Josh enjoys spending time with his family, riding his horses, and coaching little league basketball.

Brittany Benedict

Business Development Manager, Texans Luxe

Brittany Benedict joined the Houston Texans Luxe team in 2019 as Business Development Manager. Brittany’s career in sports began in 2012 and includes experience in the NBA and MLS where she held premium sales positions with the Charlotte Hornets, Los Angeles Football Club and most recently, Minnesota United Football club. An Ohio native, Brittany holds a Bachelor of Sport Administration degree from the University of Cincinnati. In her free time, Brittany enjoys spending time with her husband Marcus and their son Brayson, traveling, attending sporting events, and exploring their new home- Houston.

Shari Rainey

Director, Texans Luxe Partnership Services

Shari received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Radio/Television/Film from Sam Houston State University and formerly worked KPRC-TV in the advertising & sales department, as well as at radio stations in Houston and San Antonio. Her career in sports began in 1988 with the Houston Rockets in Sponsorship Sales and Service where she received a ring for their 1994 NBA Championship. Joining the team in 2000, she is an original Texans employee and is now the Director of Texans Luxe Partnership Services. In her spare time, Shari enjoys watching movies and trying new restaurants with her daughter who is a senior mechanical engineering major at Texas A&M.

Jessica Schneider

Director, Texans Luxe Partnership Services

Jessica began her career with the Houston Texans straight out of college in 2008. Knowing sports was her passion, she took an internship with the Ticketing Department. With hard work and determination, she is now the Director of Texans Luxe Partnership Services and provides first-class customer service to premium clients every day. When she is not working, Jessica enjoys traveling, trying new things and spending time with her family and friends.

Heather Moses

Representative, Texans Luxe Partnership Services

Heather joined our Battle Red Team in 2018 while earning her Master’s Degree in Sports Management at Sam Houston State University. During her tenure with Battle Red, Heather began an internship with the Texans Luxe Department during which she exemplified outstanding work ethic, a passionate excitement for her projects, and dedication to her team. In the spring of 2020, Heather was offered the position as the Texans Luxe Partnership Services Representative where she plans to work alongside her team to continue to bring the highest quality service to the Texans Luxe Members. Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, Heather is a born and bred Texan with a love of sports, spending time with her family and friends, and cheering on her Texans.
